Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Cake

Look at this masterpiece….

This 4 hours baking excursion took place yesterday.. I was moping on pintrest, (where most creative people today get their ideas) and I came across this spectacular cake. And let me tell you, it’s one of the most delicious cakes I have ever had to pleasure to bake.

Looks amazing right?

Total Sugar Over-load

This cake was extremely simple to make…

  • 1 form of a vanilla cake mix
  • 1 Package of Vanilla pudding mix

Chocolate Chip cookies:

  • Your favorite EGGLESS recipe! (Also use mini chocolate chips)

Cookie/Buttercreamness Frosting

  • 2/3 Cup of heaping brown sugar
  • 3 sticks of butter at room temp.
  • Some vanilla to your liking – I used 1-1/2 T.
  • 4C of powdered sugar.

Pretty simple right?! Well…. you might ask? you pintrested this?

This glorious woman is a genius

I highly advise you to follow her.

How do you assemble this beast?

Well, first bake the cake no way… While doing so, make cookie recipe. Save about 14 small balls of raw cookie dough and throw them in the freezer. Make SMALL balls with the rest of cookie dough and bake!

Let Cake & cookie cool on some wire racks…

Using a stand mixer, or by hand. Cream butter and brown sugar and vanilla… Add powdered sugar slowly.

Frost the bottom layer of the cake, then cut up the frozen cookie dough and layer the middle. Put the top layer on and frost entire cake. I’ll leave the decorating up to you.
